at Estonian LEADER Union

Triin Kallas graduated as a philosopher and sociologist and worked at Tallinn University for 18 years, holding and combining positions of research, teaching as well as administration. After moving away from the capital city in 2015, she became an entrepreneur in rural tourism. Her interest in community action and rural development resulted in taking a permanent managment position in the Estonian LEADER Union, which represents local action groups in policy making, strategic planning and implementation of EU programmes. She is the national expert of the Rural Pact, and has been involved in evaluation and cooperation projects in both national and international networks.
