European Rice Network - Gal Risorsa Lomellina
Citation de Invité le 13 septembre 2024, 14h17Dear All
We seek to connect with LAGs (from France, Spain, Portugal, or other European countries) that have explored the rice supply chain, particularly those that have investigated ways to valorize its production.
Possible cooperation themes that we would like to explore could be:
- Rice culture: Promoting rice consumption by enhancing knowledge of its sensory features and complexities, from different cultivars to culinary experiences.
- Non-Food uses: Diversifying and stabilizing farmers' incomes through the use of rice straw in bio-refineries, bio-building, and cosmetics.
- Thermal use of rice straw: Implementing district heating in rice-growing areas and developing heat and power supply chains in rural territories.
- Traceability: Establishing shared good practices based on common European standards.
- Sustainable practices: Adopting smart and rational approaches to pesticide use.
We are looking to collaborate with European LAGs and build a project together and identify where to focus our cooperation projects in order to be attractive.
We hope to receive positive feedback soon and if you are interested keep in contact with you in advance in order to plan a meeting during our staying at the Forum Leader on 2nd or the 3rd October
Best regards
