Carolina Gutiérrez Ansótegui, Deputy Director for the Dynamization of Rural Areas (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food)
Carolina is an agricultural engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Master in Oenology and Viticulture and Master in Rural Development.
Before becoming a civil servant, she worked for 8 years in the wine sector in Europe, Chile and New Zealand.
Currently, within the Rural Development Direction, she focuses on designing measures for promoting young farmers setting up and to encourage entrepreneurship of women in rural areas. In addition, she coordinates the National Rural Development Program, the use of financial instruments via UE funds (EAFRD) and the support for the Local Action Groups in Spain
