Valdis Kudiņš, Evaluation Manager of the European Evaluation Helpdesk for the CAP
Valdis Kudiņš has 23 years of experience in LEADER starting from creating one of the first Local Action Groups in Latvia; developing and implementing capacity building activities for LAG board members in Latvia; establishing ‘Latvian Rural Forum’ - national network of LAGs and rural communities; supporting Ministry of Agriculture in designing LEADER implementation in Latvia 2006 – 2013; implementing several projects that facilitated development of LEADER in Romania and Moldova. Since 2018, Valdis has permanently joined European Evaluation Helpdesk for the CAP and has worked on capacity building support for evaluation stakeholders in Member States as well as coordinating development of guidance that support evaluation of Rural Development Programmes and CAP Strategic Plans. He is currently coordinating the thematic working group preparing guidance for the assessment of the added value of LEADER.
